Years ago, copy editors worked at large U-shaped tables. The chief editor's desk, in the opening of the "U," was "the slot." Copy went from rim editors to a slot editor for a final read. Rimmers proudly called themselves rimrats.

Incredible. I mean, I'm not sure those are actually a teacher's remarks about how horrid Stauss's reporting is. Maybe some of them are, but the "O RLY?" and the F+ seem to have been added later--and no teacher would ever use "O RLY?" even though it has a generally accepted meaning among hardcore Internet users.
Pretty funny, though...and I can totally believe that someone wrote this. I really hope that during your days at your paper, you didn't have to deal with idiots like this too much, because I could see you wanting to tear your hair out over it.
There used to be something very similar online regarding an assignment in class--some guy from, I think, England purposely botched an entire chemistry final exam for humorous (excuse me, "humourous") purposes. I don't think the link works anymore, though, but let me provide it anyway: Tim's Chemistry Exam
Just a diversion.
